Baby Girl

I was wrong... we are having a sweet little girl. Yay!
I was pretty nervous we wouldn't find out the gender because her little legs were crossed. But, as the appointment went on she started moving around and we were able to get a clear view of her little bottom. We love her little profile, she's sooo cute.
The first thing we did after the appintment was buy a pretty pink glove. Jeremy was really excited and found her the cutest one  there :) I'm sure he will be a great coach and all the little girls will just love him. haha

Since Jeremy and I had been waiting for baby for quite awhile, we already had a pretty good idea of what we wanted for the baby. I had my heart set on a stroller and car seat that of course they didn't have anymore. Luckily, I am married to someone who gets as excited as I do. He stopped in Idaho Falls the next day and bought me my very first mother's day present. I love it! We even put it together that night and made a quick loop around the house :) lol

On Mother's Day we went to Bear Lake. I had to sneak a quick picture of Jers showing off his baby girl to Great Grandma Judy. So sweet. Jeremy has baby's ultrasound video's on his phone and I wouldn't be surprised if they already have over 100 views!

Here is baby and mommy at 19 weeks and 4 days.
At 18 weeks and 5 days I felt her move for the very first time. Her dad was pretty jealous to say the least. It took some time, but one night he was kissing my belly and she pushed back against his lips. It was an awesome first for him.
This Sunday, I spent the morning laying in bed while Jeremy played with the baby. He would give her a little push and she would push right back. It made me a bit queasy, but it was so sweet.

We also made a special trip to buy our little girl a crib. I couldn't believe how big the box was! Thanks for helping Auntie Meg <3

Our house was trashed instantly.

Auntie Brit was also way too excited when we found out the baby's gender. She was one of the only ones holding strong for a girl. Needless to say this little lady is going to be stylin'. Jers still isn't sure about the bikini... lol

Here is what Brit wrote on facebook (so baby can see someday):
"I found out I was going to be an aunt to a beautiful baby girl today! I am so excited for my brother and sister in law Jeremy and Amanda they are going to be amazing parents:) Thought her aunt should spoil her:) " Brittany Rowsell

All in all we have been loving life the past few months. Thanks for all of the kind words, love and support!

18 Weeks

Happy 18 Weeks Baby Rowsell!

We are looking forward to our ultrasound next Wednesday! Hopefully, we will be able to find out baby's gender. Yippee! I have thought since day 1 it was going to be a boy, so we will see if momma knows...
Jeremy and I have been talking about our appointment non-stop for at least two weeks and are most looking forward to finding out how it's developing. Last week I was dying to call the Doctor and move up our appointment, luckily I have been swamped at work and didn't give into my urges :)
 {18 Weeks - May 3rd }

All of the kids at the school love to rub my belly and talk to the baby. It is the sweetest thing and I have loved getting to see that side of them. It really is amazing to witness how much joy one baby can bring to so many people.

Here are a few pictures that show the drastic change four months can do to a girl :)

{8 Weeks} We were so excited as this little bump began to grow. My belly started to show pretty quickly and everyone around me had the scared look of "I think it's twins". But, it's just one baby and a really big belly.

{10 Weeks} Sorry about the pose, bare skin and sweats! Yikes, lol. Jer made me move my arms and pull up the shirt so we could really "see the belly". (What a pain, lol) I was also feeling pretty crummy that first trimester, so as soon as work was over the only clothing I was sporting were sweats.

Looking back at these photos makes me laugh, Jer and I thought I was huge back then! I think we are in for a big shock for what huge really is when 9 months rolls around.

I have another photo of 15 weeks, but Jer made me lift up my shirt (again) and I am definitely not posting it :) I really have got to put a stop to his photo ideas.

Sweet Things

I wanted to write some of the sweet things Jeremy has done during the past few months before I forget:
  • When I was only about 8 weeks along he bought me one of those ginormous maternity pillows. It's great, especially now that my belly has grown so much.
  • He brushes my hair just about every night after I take my relaxing bath (my two favorite parts of the day).
  • I catch him smiling every now and then at my ever growing belly.
  • How he comforted me and I felt his love so strong at our 10 week appointment. (The Doctor couldn't find the baby's heartbeat and had to do an ultrasound, I'm told it's a common thing, but very scary)
  • Most nights he will come to bed early with me and lay there until I fall asleep. Lately, he has been staying falling asleep early and blaming his fatigue on "sympathy pains".. ;).
  • One night I kept waiting and waiting for him to come to bed until I couldn't keep my eyes open. The next day I asked him what he was doing up so late (I assumed gaming or looking up some kind of gun stuff on the Internet), to my surprise he was looking up baby names and nursery ideas. He even saved some images from the Internet and found a saying for our nursery -"What a big miracle from such a small child". Man he's cute.
  • Every week we lay down together and he reads the baby's weekly changes to me and then we listen to it's heartbeat.
  • The alarm on his phone is a recording of the baby's heartbeat. You just can't wake up angry to that sweet sound.
  • Jeremy and James came home about a week after our 10 week appointment with the baby's first stuffed animal
It's about 6 ft tall :) Justin had to push it in his cart around Costco and ran into an old lady because he couldn't see where he was going. haha

  • Lastly, Jer helped me make a receiving blanket and it's as square as can be.
