Getting our paint on...

Ohh.. two or three weekends ago we spent the entire weekend plus a day cleaning, priming and painting. By the end of the weekend I think Jer had spent about 40 hours from Friday - Sunday at the house and I was only six hours behind him! It was horrible, but at the end it was awesome to get so much done!

We never ever could have got it all done without all of the help from.... Jer's mom Cindy, my momma, James, Justin, Lane, Jers Grandpa Farrell, the painting fool Grandma Judy and a little bit of Meag and her boyfriend. Jer and I are so thankful for everyones help!

Here are our moms working away doing all the yucky prep work and cleaning...

Jers orange bathroom and this is us day three in our "baby poo" green master bedroom. I LOOOVE IT! Jer on the other hand...not so much.

James doing some edging in the kitchen...

Jers multi talented little brother Justin painting and posing at the same time...impressive Just!

The living room... and me end of day three... unfortunately rather grumpy.

The entire house looks a lot better now with all of the edges done, lights, outlets, and most of the trim and doors. I'll post more when the doors are painted and hung. But thanks again family for all of the help!

A Girls Best Friends

Last Friday I had to say goodbye to 38 of my very best and smallest friends. Needless to say I wept like a baby on three different occasions that day! First, I was called to Ms. Sherry's office and one of my favorite classes was all lined up holding pictures they had drawn just for me! What a surprise! Everyone ran over to tell me about their pictures, hugged me, told me they loved me and they would miss me... I'm sure they will forget all about me if they haven't already, but I love all of my little friends at Head Start so so very much. They will stay with me always.
I loved all the time I spent with Ms. Sherry (Health Manager) and the 3 & 4 year olds. They were all far too good to me! All together there were nine classes at Head Start, but I spent the majority of my free time in two classrooms, so I really got to know some of the kids. I have to say they are some of the coolest people I know!
The next time I cried was when the class in the picture above gave me a card they had all signed and were hugging me goodbye. They were all so kind and such sweethearts! After I hugged all of them goodbye I thought I heard some soft crying and sniffling coming from behind me. Sure enough it was the cute lil guy in the dark blue sweater on the left side of the picture. He was so cute standing with his back turned to me, arms cross and tears running! He broke my heart... I gave him another hug and he said, "I am going to mi-mi-miss you, Ms. Amana..."
Ahhh, I will miss them all. Luckily... there's an end of year par-tay in May. I can't wait!
